New E-Liquid Duty from 1 October 2026

Vaping Products Duty is a new government excise duty on e-liquid, set by HMRC and starting 1 October 2026. It adds £0.22 per ml, plus VAT.

Prices won’t all change at once, because existing stock can be sold during a sell-through period running to 31 March 2027. Instead, price increases are phased in gradually as new duty-paid stock arrives. The duty is charged on liquid volume, so it also affects prefilled kits and pods, based on the liquid they contain — the devices and coils themselves are not taxed.
